Dacorum Borough Council approached Artsigns with a view to obtaining designs for replacement cemetery signs at two sites in Hemel Hempstead. The existing signs having been handpainted timber had now weathered and the wooden posts had rotted.
We remade the signs retaining the traditional look and aesthetics of the old signs but now using powder coated aluminium. We also need to update them to incorporate the latest DBC logo.
Look closely at the first photo however and you will notice that the sign looks as if it is indeed made of timber. The panel and posts and finials are actually aluminium that has been given a wood grain effect.The cemetery name is rendered in gold leaf.
