An initial telephone call came from an individual enquiring whether we could produce a custom pubsign for him. The sign was not for a pub but was to be on display in a ‘mock pub’ within a persons house, therefore it would only need to be single sided. It was explained that it was actually going to be a gift for a friend, whose favourite tipple happened to be ‘Grey Goose’ vodka! The illustrations show the original concept based on their request. Altough the client was at first quite happy with this design, it was never intended to be produced. I stated “We can do better than that”
Another design ,also shown, was drawn up priced and approved before commencement of work . Other pics show first layer painting in of pictorial alongside the wooden background sign completed but awaiting hand lettering of the name and blue motif
The client was absolutely delighted with the sign upon collection and couldn’t wait to take his gift straight to his close friend.
